Proposed Bylaw Changes
Our Bylaws were written and adopted in 2009 and last revised in 2015. We have the need to make changes to allow our organization to function to meet present day demands. We ask you to vote for the acceptance of the following changes:
- Line 179, Article VII, 7.3, defines the months an officer can serve. Due to the paperwork needed and the time to process the signatures for the treasurer to be able to sign checks and make deposits, we want to extend the term of the office of Treasurer and extend the time period before being able to serve as Treasurer again.
Line 179 and 180, 7.3 would be changed to: No individuals shall serve in the same office for more than 24 months
in any 36 month period, with the exception of Treasurer who will be permitted to serve up to 60 months in any given 84
month period.
We ask for you to vote to make this change in our By-Laws.
2. Line 270, Article X, 10.4 (g), the name of the Bank we have an account with is no longer Wells Fargo due to service
charges. We now Bank with Freedom Credit Union.
Line 270, 10.4 (g) needs to change to: Freedom Credit Union
We ask for you to vote to make this change in our By-Laws.
3. Line 285, Article XI, 11.2 (b), we want to add “text.”
Line 285, Article 11.2 (b) needs to change to: Telephone, text or fax.
We ask for you to vote to make this change in our By-Laws.
4. Line 289, Article XI, is currently blank.
We want to add: 11.2 (e) Zoom, Skype, or any other application that will allow for group meetings to include visual
presence and/or verbal participation.
We ask for you to vote to make this change in our By-Laws.
